A fairly rare yet easy to grow and hardy aroid which is popular among collectors. The spiralling stems with swirls of leaflets give this plant quite a dramatic appearance making it an interesting indoor plant or garden specimen.

Thaumatophyllum spruceanum is sometimes known by an older name, Philodendron goeldii. Like all Thaumatophyllums, this plant (spruceanum) will develop thick trunks over time, giving the overall plant a bit of height.
