The Medinillas are semi-epiphytic (like orchids). In their tropical native environments, they can be observed growing in forks of trees, hollow logs, and rocks.
As a house plant or garden plant, they should be planted in very well drained potting mix or soil with good consistent moisture. In less humid climates, regular misting will be beneficial.
Dappled light throughout the day is ideal, or good early morning sun followed by shade in the afternoon. When grown indoors, pick brightly lit positions without direct afternoon sun.

Happiness in a form of a plant
