Heliconia caribaea 'Gold'
A beautiful tight clumping, upright heliconia with bright yellow bracts with green tips. Like all the Caribaeas, the stems and undersides of the leaves have a white waxy coating. Requires warm position to thrive.
Typical height: 3 to 4m
Climate: Prefers tropical or subtropical climates.
Light conditions: Full sun to part shade
Growth habit: Upright, tidy
Growing conditions: Moist well drained soil, rich in organic matter
Flowers: Summer
Great for cut flowers. Prefers moist, well drained soils rich in organic matter. Part shade or protection from the hot afternoon sun. Grows well in cooler climates.
