One of the largest anthuriums. Glossy dark green which usually grow at least 1m long when mature. A great pot plant or under-story filler in tropical gardens.

The species occurs in moist to wet forests from southern Mexico to Columbia, and in Costa Rica

Despite its origins of growing in wet forests, it handles growing in pots very well provided are not allowed to dry out too much. Like most anthuriums, it doesnt mind becomming root bound, therefore making it possible to grow particularly large plants in small pots.
