Bambusa multiplex cv. Alphonse Karr
Grows into a dense clump making it a good windbreak or privacy screen. Yellow culms with green stripes. As for many of the Multiplexs', they grow best in cooler climates as they tend to be prone to sooty mould if grown in warm, humid, coastal climates.

Minimum temperature tolerance: -12°C
Climate: Very cold tolerant. Grows best in Temperate climates (southern parts of Australia)
Light conditions: Full sun to part shade
Growth habit: Slightly weeping culms
Growing conditions: Moist, well drained soil. Keep well mulched.
Origin: China
A delightfully elegant small bamboo which grows in the shape of a living fan. It has distinctly arranged emerald coloured leaves and new pinkish shoots turning slowly to green striped spectacular golden culms.
